Not only does he have to try and come to terms with what he did but he also has to make sure nothing can be pinned on him and he can only hope that it doesn't change the way Eva looks at him. In the previous book we saw exactly how far Gideon is prepared to go to keep Eva safe but now he is facing the fallout. It remains to be seen how much there is to learn in the next two books but I enjoyed this latest instalment and will be at the front of the queue for Captivated by You when it is released.

I was a bit nervous when I discovered that the series had been extended from the trilogy originally planned into a five book series though, I was worried that there wouldn't be enough story to fill that many books and that we'd end up with a couple of filler books. Gideon and Eva are my favourite dysfunctional couple and I have to admit to having a huge crush on Gideon so I was excited to spend more time with them both. I have been a huge fan of the Crossfire series ever since I first read Bared to You so it feels like I had to wait forever for Entwined with You to finally be released.

Toutefois je reste sur la réserve en ce qui concerne les 2 prochains tomes car même s'il y a eu matière à écrire dans ce tome, je doute qu'elle ait plus de choses à nous dire car au fur et à mesure des pages, on se rend bien vite compte que l'histoire commence à s'essouffler et tourner légèrement en rond.
Je conseille donc ce troisième tome même s'il y a quelques longueurs, et des petites histoires pas forcément nécessaires (l'immaturité de Cary et de la mère d'Eva, la relation ambiguë et incompréhensible avec Brett.). Beaucoup critique le fait que les personnages aient évolué (par exemple Gideon est moins dominateur, plus dans la sensibilité et l'émotion) mais je trouve que cette nouvelle perspective qui consiste à inverser les rôles (Eva qui sait et Gideon qui sait un peu moins) donne un nouveau souffle à l'histoire. C'est la suite logique des deux précédents tomes. Et je dois avouer que ce troisième tome n'est pas mal du tout. Mais étant un grand fan de l'histoire de Gideon et Eva, je n'ai pas su résister à l'envie de me faire ma propre opinion. Sorry miss Day, I sincerely admit you did a great job! Congratulations (but please, don't loose the spirit and fire of the serie in doing one too much).Īprès avoir lu les nombreux commentaires négatifs, j'étais persuadée que ce troisième tome n'était pas fait pour moi. I must humbly confess I reacted too quick saying "God no, not a fourth and an fifth!". I still hope there won't be five books but rather four (because I don't think you can build indefinitely on this kind of story) but I'm glad I've read it and it remains on my favourite shelf. And don't forget Gideon remains a "hot bod" -). They still doubt are flawed, so are simply human. They trust the other more than they trust themselves, blinded by the other "perfection". I love the evolution of their feelings, the way they learn not to make the same mistakes, no more runing when problems come along but talking through them. They are more "mature", their love blossom and settle, even if it's still incredibly hot! The sex scenes remain really good (maybe unnecessarily present at times but whatever!).
In this third book, there are still angst and twists but I found them more "bearable" because Gideon and Eva are growing more secure in their relationship. I read "Bared to you" and "Reflected in you" once again to remind me of the plot and enjoying the story and the characters once again. Well, I honestly must say this was not the case (fortunately). Just having learned it wouldn't be the last of the serie, I expected to be disappointed (you know, when an author is dragging a story just to make more money).
